| On June 13th the Brentsville District HS Athletic Department will host a night for rising 9th graders and new students to get a physical, attend concussion training and meet some of our coaches/club sponsors. The flyer is attached and if you are a coach or club sponsor let me know if you would like a table in the gym for that evening. This is not a 9th grade orientation, just a meet and greet along with the opportunity to get a physical and have concussion training. click here for details |

Summer Camps at Battlefield HS
Battlefield HS is proud announce a wide variety of summer academic camps for middle school students. The camps include: Animation with Flash (June 24-28, $90) , Board Games (July 15-19, $90), Digital Photography / Photoshop (June 24-28, $95), An Introduction to Programming with Scratch (Aug 5-9, $90) and Underwater Robotics – Seaperch (June 24-28, $300).

Cheerleading Tryouts will be on Thursday September 5th, Friday September 6th, and Monday September 9th from 3-5pm. There will be an interest meeting on Wednesday September 4th at 7:45pm (you must attend with a parent). You can find more information on the school fusion cheerleading page. GVMS IS SEEKING MEMBERS FOR THE PRINCIPAL’S ADVISORY COUNCIL
FOR THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR
Under the philosophy of site-based management in Prince William County Public Schools, the Gainesville Principal’s Advisory Council represents and assesses the needs of the community and staff, identifies concerns, obtains community and staff feedback, and supports the goals of the educational system. The council is comprised of parent and teacher representatives.
If you are interested in serving on the advisory council, please plan on attending our next meeting May 14th at 6:00 p.m. in room 1204, where we will discuss the advisory council for the upcoming year. Please contact Mrs. Gosselin at 703.753.2997 should you have any questions. |
